Why Employment Regulations Re-enforce Race/Gender Divides

By creating laws where someone can get sued for not hiring someone based on Gender or Race, it makes people less likely to even want interview people with names that may hint at these qualities in fear of legal retaliation if they don't hire them. If you make it a legal liability to do something as simple as interview someone... people will do it a lot less.
